What if I have bad knees/back/hips, etc?
The first focus of our gym is to teach you how to move properly so that you are safe. We will teach you how to squat appropriately, how to stabilize your core and protect your spine when you move, and we will progress you through full range of motion movements and increase the loads you move based on your form. Most of us come in with aches, pains, past surgeries, etc. We also come in with very poor mechanics, core weakness, and minimized range of motion. These are all very common causes to your aches and pains. Safety is our number one concern and we will work with your ailments and injuries through modifications of the workouts and movements.

What results can I expect?
A member can expect to get in the best shape of their life with Royal Pride CrossFit. Increased endurance, improved cardiovascular health, being stronger, faster, and leaner, with better mobility and flexibility are just a few of the benefits most people experience. You will feel better, sleep better, and most importantly you will be able to get through your day better. However, once you start, you need to come consistently, as we aren’t that “magic pill” so many people are looking for. So what are you waiting for?
Can I get a good workout in under 30 minutes?
There is overwhelming research that shows that shorter duration/higher intensity workouts yield higher benefits and results. By keeping the intensity up, we keep our heart rate high. By keeping our heart rate high we are working in an “anaerobic” state which then takes a fraction of the time to get significant results. The longer the effort the lower our intensity, which will take a long time to get the results you are looking for. Royal Pride CrossFit does go beyond 30 min workouts on occasion because it is important for your fitness to be able to work for long periods of time. However, the majority of our workouts are shorter in duration. If you have a shorter workout, and the body is stressed enough with the movements and the load, you can work harder by nature which can lend to a better response. It is sometimes hard to understand this until you try it. We will show you how a 5 minute workout can be much harder than a 30 minute run.
I am afraid I will get too big and bulky…
I have heard you can get hurt doing CrossFit, is this true?
Do I have to get in shape first before I start?
Is CrossFit expensive?
Our rates are actually less expensive than any other group led workout programs in our local area. The reality is with the quality of instruction you get from our trainers, it is personal training at a fraction of the cost. If you are paying the top monthly fee of $125 a month and attend an average of 4 workouts a week, you are paying less than $8 per class. Most personal training will be a minimum of $50-75 per session.
Who are the class instructors?
At a minimum, all of Royal Pride CrossFit’s instructors have a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate. Most of them have additional certifications. Please see the “Tour” menu for more information on our trainers.
